P B Drilling was founded by Paul Blackledge in 1992 with one cable percussive rig.  The Company is now managed by Paul Blackledge, Nicola Blackledge and Iain Jackson and employs 17 staff.  The Company has built up an excellent reputation within the industry and is now one of the most dominant suppliers of drilling and site investigation services in the north of England .

P B Drilling is a sub-contract drilling company operating a nationwide service whilst being predominantly based in the north of England and the Midlands . 

The aim of our Company is to provide a professional, reliable, efficient and cost-effective service carried out by competent, qualified and experienced staff.

We have seven drilling crews with most crews having over 10 years experience.  All of our staff are N.V.Q. trained and any new staff receive induction training followed as soon as possibly by N.V.Q. training.  Six of our crews specialise in cable percussive test drilling and one crew specialises in windowless sampling.  We also have a hand held window sampler.

Each drilling crew carries full certification with them at all times including CSCS Cards, CITB health and safety certificates, N.V.Q. Certificates, First Aid Certificates, rig certificates, rope certificates, SPT calibration certificates and full insurance details.  They also carry all relevant health and safety information including method statements, risk assessments and so forth.

We work for many of the leading geotechnical and site investigation companies and have worked on many major contracts throughout the United Kingdom .

The health and safety of our staff and indeed of any person within their working vicinity is of the utmost importance to us and as such we do everything we possibly can to be proactive regarding health and safety issues.  Our staff are adequately trained to N.V.Q. Level 2 in Land Drilling and are competent and confident in their jobs.
