Company Profile

The Company was set up by Paul Blackledge in 1989 with one shell and auger rig and two members of staff. Today, the Company is run by Paul Blackledge, Nicola Blackledge and David Varey in two Wigan-based offices and employs 18 people.

We have eight drilling crews, with most crews having over ten years' drilling experience. Six of our crews specialise in shell and auger test drilling and two crews specialise in windowless sampling and dynamic sampling. We also have a hand-held window sampler.

Each drilling crew carries full certification with them at all times including CSCS cards, CITB health and safety certificates, NVQ certificates, rig certificates and full insurance details.

We are working towards ‘Investor in People’ and, as such, all our employees are adequately trained and are competent and confident in their jobs.
